FCRA ROUNDTABLE

Practitioner’s perspective- fundamental to fund raising
In the year 2015, the statistics shows that the Ministry of Home Affairs cancelled licenses of 10600 non-profit organizations for lack of non-compliance with various provisions and regulations under FCRA Act in 2014. In addition, MHA has made several amendments in the FCRA regulations 2010. There were number of NGO/VOs which are facing FCRA related issues and are unaware about new amendments and its regulation too.

In July 2017, around 5922 FCRA registered organization received show cause notice regarding cancellation. There are numerous change done by the MHA through notification and amendments.

We have also observed that many FCRA registered organizations are not able to channelize foreign fund due to scarcity of competent staff within the organization and lack of awareness regarding multi lateral, bilateral international aid agencies and donors.

This workshop is designed to sensitize the FCRA registered and FCRA willing to register organization on various provisions pertaining to FCRA-2010 Act, FCRR-2011 and its related amendments and notifications.
