Programme Description:
The 21st Century will be an urban century. By 2050, India will add nearly 300 million new people to its cities in a historic urban transition that poses both a challenge and an opportunity. Harnessing the potential for this transition demands a new generation of urban professionals who can work across disciplinary and sectoral divides.
The PWP-UD equips aspirants to shift their careers with the perspectives, knowledge, tools and skills of urban practice. No matter the academic training or work-experience, the PWP-UD prepares participants for a career path in this emerging sector building upon and re-orienting their existing training and capacities. The program’s focus on inter-disciplinary learning and practice across sectors and institutions is ideal for multiple learning and career trajectories and particularly relevant to Indian urban realities. Our diverse and experienced faculty brings together theory and practice to both equip participants from government, public and private institutions with the ability to address institutional issues facing our cities as well as support a new generation of entrepreneurs with combination of in-depth knowledge alongside a set of core skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy.
Come join IIHS in shaping India’s urban transition and your own professional life.
