Professional Experience:

Having served at the National Tobacco Control Programme under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India, I bring firsthand experience in policy planning and program evaluation. I also possess teaching experience in a health management institute, which has equipped me to effectively convey complex concepts.
My scholarly activities include over 20 research publications in highly indexed journals such as Sage Open, Health Policy Open, and the Indian Journal of Community Medicine. These publications cited over 175 times, delve into critical areas of tobacco control, multi-dimensional poverty, and social inequities related to healthcare.

Education:

PhD in 'Social Medicine and Community Health' from Jawaharlal Nehru University, holding two Master's — MA Rural Development (Gold Medal), PGDM Health Management (Gold Medal). BDS (Dental) in Graduation.
My PhD work was on Social Determinants of Smokeless Tobacco Use where I looked at three levels of determinants – Individual, Meso and Structural Level. At the individual level, I found that material deprivation was a determinant of tobacco use behaviour. At the structural level, I looked at commercial determinants of tobacco use behaviour and the role of tobacco control policies.
