MBA in Business Leadership from School of Inspired Leadership, Gurgaon and B Tech in Mechanical Engg with 3.5 years of work experience
I come from a small village in Bihar named Thahhra and it comes under Chapra district. My grandfather was a farmer and right from childhood I have closely observed life in villages. Although my education has been from city but my regular visit to my village helped me in building a strong affection with the people living in villages. After completing my Mechanical Engineering from Cochin University I got opportunity to work with Hindustan Zinc Limited. During my initial phase of work it was extremely difficult for me to convince the technicians under me to listen to my instructions. But I never lost my patience and I slowly and slowly learned aspects of maintenance. My continuous focus towards learning helped me in gaining confidence of doing job in efficient way. I shared my experience with the Supervisors and told them to try for new ways of doing maintenance activities and it worked. I also designed Standard Operating Procedure of dealing with breakdown activities and started giving training sessions to the technicians under me. I also started training them on the importance of Team Building in doing a particular task. Within a span of 6 months I was able to gain confidence of all the technicians under me and I gained their respect. Then I went a step ahead and started conducting training sessions on importance of 5S at work which helped us in reduction of waste at work. Doing MBA was always running in my mind but I was never sure about the stream. I analyzed myself and came to a conclusion that creating difference to the life of people around me is my biggest strength. Considering this I thought of doing MBA with leadership development as its main focus and so I joined Business Leadership Program at School of Inspired Leadership, Gurgaon. During my studies at School of Inspired Leadership and I worked with NGO named Adharshila and I felt that there are many communities in India who needs support, guidance and motivation to move ahead in life. It was then I decided of pursuing my career in Development sector and got selected in National Dairy Development Board Dairy Services. After my completion of MBA I joined NDDB Dairy services and started learning the integrities involved in Dairy Sector. During my field visit to Rajasthan and Gujarat I tried to understand the needs of the villagers and the technical requirements of the field staff and accordingly designed training modules for them for successful implementation of various initiatives of National Dairy Development Board.
