Professional Experience:
With over 13 years of professional experience in public health, I have led diverse and impactful programs focused on improving health outcomes, particularly in malaria elimination and maternal and child health. My journey has equipped me with a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, program management, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
While I am currently operating as an Independent Consultant, assisting NGOs in building robust data management systems to ensure accurate data collection and analysis. I designed tailored monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools, helping organizations track program performance effectively and align with strategic goals. Additionally, I provided advisory services on program design, scale-up strategies, and policy advocacy, enabling NGOs to maximize the impact of their community-driven initiatives.
Prior to this, I served as the Program Head for Malaria No More, where I oversaw large-scale malaria elimination initiatives across Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. Leading a team of over 400 members, I spearheaded strategic planning and program implementation while driving key activities such as donor engagement, compliance management, and operational streamlining. My work included launching innovative pilot studies, such as climate-based malaria prediction tools and malaria-focused maternal and child health interventions, both of which enhanced program outcomes in high-burden districts. Collaborating closely with government stakeholders, I established a Strategic Support Unit to provide technical guidance to the Government of Odisha and facilitated capacity-building workshops and training sessions for health officials.
As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with CARITAS India, I led efforts to enhance program efficiency by developing web-based MIS platforms and implementing real-time, mobile-based data entry systems. I played a pivotal role in coordinating large-scale distribution programs, including the timely delivery of 7 million bed nets to vulnerable communities. Through strategic IEC/BCC campaigns, I contributed to significant reductions in malaria incidence, while my work in designing monitoring and evaluation plans ensured high-quality program implementation across multiple states.
Earlier in my career, as a Statistical Consultant with the Directorate of NVBDCP under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, I contributed to the development of national-level health strategies, including the National Strategic Action Plan for Malaria Control. My responsibilities ranged from supply chain management and proposal preparation to designing training modules and conducting field visits. I also played an integral role in writing grant proposals for the Global Fund, securing crucial funding for malaria and kala azar elimination initiatives.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to creating sustainable health solutions by blending data-driven insights with a human-centred approach. My ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, secure funding, and foster partnerships with government, corporate, and international stakeholders has consistently translated into impactful health programs that improve lives at scale.
