Professional Experience:

Other than my core role as a Pharma professional, in my role in CSR for 5 years, my primarily responsibility was to seamlessly deliver the social targets of the India business for Dr. Reddy's.

Improving Patient care in India:
My team of 10 staff and approx. 80 trainers (on contract) delivered ‘patient care’ skills to more than 2 Lakh hospital/clinic staff across India. I was part of the Corporate team which tied up with the Indian School of Business (ISB-Hyderabad) to conduct ‘Patient in focus” workshops for approx 2000 Top Drs across specialities. This was a certificiate course called ‘Transformational Leadership in Healthcare Management’ (TLHM). Through the “Awareness for life” programs we covered approx. 4000 corporates during this period giving health awareness sessions through respected Drs to approx. 1 Lakh corporate employees. We got the Corporate contacts through our tie-up with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and UNICEF for school programs.

Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Management (PGDHM) was a 1-year course started by the foundation due to the lack of similar programs at that time (mid 2000s) in India. I was additionally ‘Principal’ for this institute and we were affliated to the Osmania University. Post seeing the easy job availability of for our graduating students, many centres started such programs and today this is a regular part of healthcare education.

Making a small difference to Palliative care at Hyderabad:
I had a 4 member team with a van which used to provide palliative care services 6-days a week for patients recommended to us by MNJ Cancer hospital, Hyderabad.
