Education:
My educational journey has been driven by a strong commitment to public health, epidemiology, and sociology, with each academic step designed to deepen my understanding and expand my expertise in these fields.
I began with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni, where I studied from 2011 to 2015. This program was instrumental in developing my clinical skills and a solid foundation in medical science. During this time, I gained a comprehensive understanding of patient care, clinical practices, and the healthcare system. This foundational knowledge proved essential during my subsequent role as an ICU staff nurse at Fortis Healthcare, where I applied my education in real-world healthcare settings.
Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, from 2017 to 2019. The MPH program at CMC offered me a broader perspective on health, shifting my focus from individual patient care to population-level health management. My coursework and research, including a dissertation on the prevalence of problematic internet usage and its correlation with psychological well-being among pre-university students in suburban Mumbai, helped me integrate complex social factors into public health strategies.
In 2019, I further specialized by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Hygiene from Annamalai University, Chennai. This program provided me with targeted knowledge in workplace health and safety, broadening my public health expertise to include occupational settings. Understanding the intricacies of industrial hygiene has been vital in my approach to developing comprehensive public health strategies.
To enhance my understanding of the societal dimensions of health, I also completed an M.A. in Sociology from SNDT University. This degree deepened my insight into how social structures, behaviors, and factors like class, gender, and ethnicity affect health outcomes and access to healthcare. Sociology has provided me with a critical perspective, allowing me to approach health issues with a nuanced understanding of both individual and systemic factors.
Throughout my educational journey, I have been committed to expanding my knowledge in ways that enhance my ability to make meaningful contributions to public health and societal well-being. My academic background, spanning nursing, public health, industrial hygiene, and sociology, has equipped me with a unique and comprehensive skill set. This blend of clinical expertise, public health knowledge, and sociological insight allows me to address the complex challenges in today’s healthcare landscape, positioning me to continue making impactful contributions in the field of medical and public health content management.
