Professional Experience:
I bring over 4 years of experience in the development sector, specializing in program management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable livelihood promotion. My expertise lies in designing and implementing multi-stakeholder projects, driving gender-inclusive growth, and fostering rural economic development.
In the HDFC-SPARKS Project, I led a team of over 60 staff to empower more than 5,000 farmers through gender-sensitive livelihood initiatives. I successfully established pulse processing units, fostering local entrepreneurship and income diversification. By developing annual and quarterly business plans and implementing performance monitoring frameworks, I ensured efficient project execution. My collaboration with district stakeholders promoted scalable and sustainable agricultural practices aligned with community needs.
As part of the Comprehensive Livelihood Adaptation Pathways (APPI) initiative, I designed model village proposals that prioritized women’s empowerment, ecological sustainability, and income generation. Working in partnership with district departments, local authorities, and NGOs, I implemented gender-sensitive strategies to enhance women’s leadership roles, strengthen their economic resilience, and build inclusive development frameworks within rural communities.
During the Green Transformation Pathways (IKEA) project, I guided Women Collectives in adopting sustainable smallholder farming techniques and regenerative practices. I played a key role in strengthening the local circular economy by promoting resource-efficient methods and enhancing market linkages. Additionally, I actively participated in governance processes to advocate for the representation of collective interests in sustainable development policies.
My contributions to the IndusInd Flagship Programme included developing livelihood prototypes to enhance scalability, establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and applying Critical Path Methodology for effective project tracking and risk management. I facilitated multi-stakeholder engagements, ensuring alignment between local priorities and national objectives, while also supporting the adoption of innovative strategies for improved program outcomes.
In collaboration with the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), I worked on the Central Sector Scheme for the Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). My efforts contributed to collective farming initiatives, rural economic growth, and institutional frameworks to ensure long-term sustainability for FPOs.
My initial role as a Development Apprentice involved conducting action research on the “Status of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Tribal Communities of Jharkhand.” I assessed the challenges faced by women farmers and developed strategies to address issues related to resource access, technical knowledge, and market linkages. I facilitated the formation of women’s self-help groups, providing training and capacity-building support to promote sustainable agricultural practices and economic independence.
My skills include strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, gender and social inclusion, data analysis, risk management, and fostering community-driven development. I am committed to creating meaningful, scalable impact through collaborative approaches and innovative solutions tailored to meet the needs of marginalized communities.
