V.M. Kundapura is a veteran in IT industry and has vast experience of 30 years in finance & operations. He has worked with many multinational companies including Gulf Bank of Kuwait, HP India ( Formerly known as Digital Equipment India Pvt Ltd.,), Wipro-British Telecom, Enterasys Networks & Augen Technologies etc. where he contributed much towards framing policies, defining the processes of finance, HR and Administration departments and helped the companies to adopt best practices in all its spheres of operation. He has nurtured relationships with many Fortune 500 IT industries customers. He held number of key management roles and responsibilities and developed a very harmonious relationship with 3 top Auditing giants where ever he has worked.
As Senior Vice President of Augen Technologies, he architectured the functionalities of finance department and operations with regard to utilization. He always insisted for diversification in modern line of business which would give stability during global recession and uncertainty.
Graduate of Economics in 1977 from Bhandarkar’s College, Kundapura, Mysore University, Mr. Kundapura has travelled world wide on various assignments. According to him, the main aspect in business is to achieve operations targets well within the time limits so that the bottom line remains robust. He strongly believes that employees are the real assets of the company and stresses the employees to develop leadership qualities. He always believes that a true leader is one who makes his subordinates as leaders. His sincerity, integrity and discipline have won him many appreciations from his employers.
He has a vision of rural development with regard to improvisation of standard of living of rural people, education, medical facilities etc. He has successfully executed a pilot project on coconut shell charcoal, pyroligneous acid & coco-peat in a tiny village called Vakwady in Kundapura Taluk and was successful in exporting charcoal to China, coco-peat to Mauritius and pyrolligneous acid to Holland. He is of the opinion that hospitality industry is growing very strongly off-late due to obvious reasons and it would be a great socio-economic development aspect if hospitality industry involves rural area.
