Education:
My interest in understanding why we humans do the things we do culminated in a Bachelor's with Honours in Psychology from DU. Graduating with a first division with distinction, I learnt of the scientific method, research paradigms, stakeholder-based research methods, and statistics. It was the discipline of Social Psychology that I was most drawn to, as numerous real-life dilemmas - personal and those witnessed during volunteering - seemed amenable only when the unit of analyses was the society. This determined the choice of my Master's, after gaining professional experience in marketing and management - fields I was able to amply apply the principles of Psychology to.
During my Master's in Sustainable Development Practice at TERI SAS, I took courses such as Development Economics, Ecological Economics, Governance and Management of Natural Resources, and Organisational Behaviour. During field practicums, I conducted needs assessments with vulnerable communities in MP. My master's thesis on well-being of development project beneficiaries was conducted under a research grant from IFAD, and I worked with ILSP in Uttarakhand. I was university topper, and multiple research projects and collaborations with faculty helped me develop the skills of communications, research, writing, and stakeholder engagement.
Throughout my education and professional roles, I have thrived in a communications capacity. I enjoy writing for and delivering ideas to groups small and large.
