Education:
My educational journey has significantly shaped my contributions to the development sector, particularly in my work with UNICEF, government projects, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The foundation I built through my studies has provided me with the skills and insights necessary to address complex challenges in areas such as child rights, community development, and behavior change communication.
I completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing Management from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar, between 1995 and 1998. This degree equipped me with strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills—essential tools for my work in the development sector. The focus on marketing management, especially understanding target audiences and crafting communication strategies, has been instrumental in my work with UNICEF, where I have helped design and implement campaigns that effectively communicate key messages around child rights, education, and health. The leadership and decision-making skills I gained have also been valuable in working with government stakeholders, ensuring that programs are aligned with policy goals and community needs.
Before that, I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Statistics from Patna University, Patna, from 1990 to 1994. My background in statistics has been crucial for my roles in monitoring and evaluation, particularly in large-scale projects in partnership with government bodies and CSR initiatives. I have been able to use data-driven approaches to assess the impact of programs, whether it’s in tracking progress in child welfare initiatives under UNICEF or evaluating the effectiveness of CSR projects aimed at empowering marginalized communities. My ability to analyze data has been key in ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and can be scaled effectively.
I also completed my Intermediate of Science at BIEC, Patna, in 1989. The logical and analytical mindset developed through my science education has enhanced my ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects in the government and corporate sectors. This has been particularly useful when dealing with large-scale initiatives like government-funded social welfare programs or CSR activities, where problem-solving and critical thinking are necessary to navigate challenges and ensure successful outcomes. Additionally, my early education, including Matriculation from BSEB, Patna, in 1987, laid a strong foundation in discipline and learning, helping me develop the resilience needed for long-term, impactful projects.
Throughout my career, this academic background has allowed me to contribute meaningfully to initiatives aimed at social change. Whether I am leading communication campaigns, working on capacity-building projects with government officials, or collaborating with corporates on CSR programs, my education has been a vital asset in designing solutions that are both strategic and impactful. This combination of business acumen, statistical analysis, and scientific reasoning has enabled me to drive results in the development sector, particularly in advocating for child protection, women's empowerment, and community welfare.
