* As a Lake Conservationist and a team member of Friends of Lakes (FOL) Network, I was part of the award felicitation at ‘Namma Bengaluru Awards - 2017’.
* As an independent environmentalist, conducted Bengaluru’s first Cleanathon for Construction and Debris (C&D) waste at Vijinapura ward on Dec 10th, 2017, as part of a co-founded informal Citizen’s group - Vijinapura Eco-Civic Team (VECT), for serving towards Environmental Sustainability and Democracy. This movement made the then Mayor to implement the stringent NGT rules of fines of Rs.5 lakhs & 1 lakh respectively of dumping of waste in lakes and SWD/roadsides. As VECT member, coordinated 4 other successive SWM Cleanathons at ward level, to remove decades-old garbage black spots.
* Selected as a Ward Committee member to my Ward - 51, Vijinapura of K.R.Puram Assembly constituency by elected representatives and citizen volunteers (2017-18).
* Carried out an independent research study on, ‘The status of plantation activity of a micro-watershed in the north-eastern tribal taluk of Attapadi’, Palaghat, Kerala under Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA), Thrissur for the partial fulfillment of the Master’s degree.
* Successfully undertook an assessment of the ‘damage and need of Tsunami affected people’, along with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai at Andaman and Nicobar Islands in Feb-Mar 2005, during masters.
