Professional Experience:

I am a dedicated public health professional and MD in Community and Family Medicine from AIIMS Raipur, with hands-on experience in infectious disease surveillance, international health regulations, and tuberculosis program implementation. My recent assignments include serving as a Public Health Specialist at Airport Health Organization (APHO), Nagpur, and as a Medical Consultant with the World Health Organization (WHO) under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) in Durg, Chhattisgarh.

At APHO Nagpur, I was responsible for implementing the International Health Regulations (IHR-2005), overseeing the health screening of international travelers, and coordinating public health emergency responses at the point of entry. I actively contributed to yellow fever vaccination programs, surveillance for quarantinable diseases, and ensured adherence to port health protocols in alignment with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare guidelines. My role also involved capacity-building, reporting health events, and ensuring compliance with vector control and sanitation measures at the airport premises.

As a Medical Consultant for WHO-NTEP (TSN), my focus shifted to the field level, where I supported programmatic implementation of the NTEP in tribal and hard-to-reach districts of Chhattisgarh. I was engaged in strengthening case-finding, treatment adherence, capacity building of health staff, and monitoring drug-resistant TB management. I contributed to data analysis, performance reviews, and supported the digital transformation of TB surveillance systems (Nikshay). As a technical advisor, I worked closely with state and district TB cells, ensuring high-quality service delivery and timely reporting under the national program.

Both roles reflect my ability to bridge clinical expertise with public health systems, especially in disease surveillance, capacity development, and inter-sectoral coordination. I am passionate about evidence-based public health and committed to contributing meaningfully to national and global health initiatives.
