Professional Experience:
A Community Medicine specialist with over three years of experience in epidemiology, public health programme implementation, disease surveillance, and medical education. Experience spans academic institutions and district health administration, with significant contributions to national health programmes, outbreak preparedness, and health system strengthening.
Worked as District Epidemiologist in Pubjab, serving as District Nodal Officer for key national programmes including the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, National Leprosy Control Programme, National Rabies Control Programme, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, and the National Programme on Climate Change and Human Health. Responsibilities included disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, field monitoring, IEC activities, training of medical officers and frontline health workers, and implementation of heat and cold wave preparedness plans. Led disaster response activities, including flood relief operations and medical camps, and supervised large field teams.
