Professional Experience:

Public health and social development professional with nearly 10 years of experience in qualitative research, monitoring and evaluation, programme management, stakeholder engagement and evidence-based reporting. Currently working with ARMMAN, where I lead and support research relating to large-scale maternal and child health initiatives, including Kilkari and Mobile Academy, across multiple Indian states.
My experience includes study design, qualitative data collection and analysis, field research, development of research tools, stakeholder interviews, report and publication writing, programme learning and coordination with programme, technology and implementation teams. I am proficient in qualitative research tools including NVivo, Atlas.ti and Dedoose.
Previously, I worked with organisations including Includovate, Human Rights Law Network, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, IMPACT Partners in Social Development and Rotary India Literacy Mission. My work has covered maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender justice, child protection, education and literacy, women’s empowerment and access to public services.

Education:

MA in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, completed between 2013 and 2015, with academic focus on public health, gender and development. BA in Sociology from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, completed between 2010 and 2013. Her academic training covered social research methods, qualitative inquiry, gender, health, development and analysis of social institutions.

Affiliations and Achievements:

Led and supported multi-state public health and mHealth research at ARMMAN, including research connected with Kilkari and Mobile Academy. Conducted more than 100 qualitative interviews and contributed to studies involving diverse stakeholders across multiple states. Previously worked on reproductive health, gender justice and legal empowerment programmes serving over 100,000 women across more than 10 states. Also contributed to an e-learning initiative that reached over 10,000 learners.
