About the Program
The Youth program’s objective is to provide a holistic development platform for young people as well as provide a lifelong, continuous learning opportunity to disadvantaged youth. We use content, pedagogy and technology, to drive the delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach we develop critical life-work skills that are critical for success in the 21?st century. Our curriculum includes media elements like games, videos, audio, and visuals as well as the use of dictionaries for vernacular translations.
 
About the Role:
 
Program Implementation and Delivery
  • Take responsibility for achieving goals set for the region and state in alignment with state goals by effective program planning, execution, and monitoring within the agreed standards.
  • Identify and develop learning within the program and facilitate the capturing of these learnings.
  • Visit ITIs and VTIs to support trainers with curriculum planning, delivery of content etc.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly review meetings with program stakeholders- center/ institution heads, trainers etc.
  • Ensure that the trainers, placement officers, and centers gradually become independent and sustain the recommendations at their institutes.
  • Support all ITIs in the south region of Kerala to have a functional & sustainable placement cell and drive system change through these hubs.
  • Own the placement piece in your region and anchor the placement events to get the learners placed.
  • Participate and contribute in the planning and delivery of capacity-building activities in the state.
  • Ensure the delivery of Career development programs in all the selected Women ITIs in the state with the support of facilitators and consultants.
  • Ensure the completion of Baseline and Endlines by the learners in your Region.
  • Engage and be part of the planning and delivery of PLP and monitor the Change Projects by Principals in the state.
  • Establish active student hubs in your ITIs (30% of ITIs)
Stakeholder Management
  • Develop an effective working relationship with the Govt. Authority (DET, ITD officials), Principals, GIs (both POs and ESIs), and Facilitators of the region in alignment with the organizational goals.
  • Coordinating with placement lead and team members in the state, calling out the required support to organize industry connect activities, and also tracking alumni to ensure greater industry engagement in placement systems of the state and in your speci?ed regions.
  • Work closely with the Placement Associate of your state and call out the required support in the state.
Reporting
  • Ensure the monitoring data reaches the M&E focal point on time.
  • Ensure the data of baseline/endline and other assessments
  • Ensure student's data is updated in center database/ admin panel as per the org system
  • Provide regular written and verbal reports tracking progress against the work plan and implementation schedules.
  • Initiate and share all reporting requirements to DET and CSO officials such as quarterly, half-yearly and yearly reports.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work/Rural Management or other development disciplines, with 5-6 years of work experience preferably in the Education/Vocational Training sector
  • Good communication skills in English and a regional language.
  • Ability to draft compelling reports grounded in data
  • Ability to train facilitators and youths for the vocational training program
  • Candidate should be flexible, self motivated, enthusiastic, and an energetic team player
  • Knowledge of issues in the vocational training space and the social development sector in India.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, and the Internet.

  • Can travel 1 week to 20 days a month.

Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 58,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
