SHAPE India (Social and Humanitarian Action for Promoting Education in India) is a registered, secular, non-profit national level organization working in the field of Child Rights, Education Promotion, HIV/AIDS, Vocational Training, Women Empowerment and Health. The organization was initiated in 2001 by a group of professional social work practitioners. SHAPE India is leading voluntary organization reaching out to more than 75,000 beneficiaries including children, women, senior citizen and weaker sections of the society. Post -Project Manager
Qualification & Experience:
She/he should be a Post Graduate in Social Sciences/ Social Work preferably with 1-year working experience at district level programmes related to health, livelihood programmes, rural development, microfinance and HIV/AIDS programmes. or Graduate in Social Sciences/ Social Work subject with minimum three years’ experience in development / health sector at district level programmes related to health, livelihood programmes, rural development, microfinance and HIV/AIDS programmes.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Familiarity with government health policies & programmes and also Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in small team, and flexible ways of working.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting writing, case study compilation.
• At least 10 days in the field visit required.
• Overall management capacity to monitor report and guide the team under him/her.
Key Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing overall programme in close coordination with funding agency. She/he would be responsible to keep close liaison with Government Departments at district level, conduct data analysis and prepare monthly reports for review and reporting to the Funding Agency. Review the performance of staffs, prepare need based monthly action plan and follow up the action points, facilitate the funding agency visits & also send all report to the Funding Agency as well ae Project Director -SHAPE India on regular basis.
Duties and Responsibilities of Project Manager:
Project Manager will be responsible for performing the following functions:
1- Programme Management
• The Project Manager is the overall in-charge of the TI Project and is responsible for functioning
• of the project as per NACO operational guidelines.
• The PM is tasked with achievement of the project deliverables as per project targets.
• The PM will be based at the field office and organize weekly review meeting and supervise work of all other staffs.
• Support in implementation of revamped TI strategy and programmatic Mapping Population size Estimation (MPSE) as per NACP -V guideline.
• Establish linkages with other referral services, stake holder meetings, and advocacy.
• Organize in house capacity building of the other staff.
• PM to travel to the project area hotspots for purposes related to TI programme implementation like supervision of PE / ORWs and interaction with HRGs. PM should visit the field for about 10 - 15 days in a month records of the field visits are maintained.
• Assist PH to organise advocacy and linkage activities.
• Analyse the progress of the project activities and share the same with action points in
• the monthly project staff meeting.
• Assess the capacity building requirements of project staff and communicate the same with DISHA/ SETU or/ and MDACS.
• Monitor the transit intervention activities where ever applicable.
• Conduct weekly / biweekly/monthly review meetings with project staff and PEs.
2- Reporting:
• Report to Project Director of the SHAPE India TI project and TI nodal officer in MDACS and / or PO in
• DISHA/SETU
• Timely submission of monthly program performance data in SIMS/CMIS or other reporting format.
• Submission of SOEs, provide data information required for preparation of reports.
3- Training Requirements:
Programme Management, Supervision and Monitoring Skills, Team Building Skills, Data Analysis, Community based monitoring and rapport building, advocacy and networking.
Salary: Between Rs.21000/ -per month + TA 1400
