Position: HR Manager
Location: Mumbai

Point of View is a non-profit founded in Mumbai, India in 1996. We seek to build gender equality in digital spaces. We are a fast-growing pan-India non-profit recognised for running high-quality, impactful programs on ground and online. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that marginalised women, gender, and sexual minorities participate fully, freely and equally in digital spaces - regardless of caste, class, religion, education, sexuality or ability. We work closely with five main constituencies: women from low-income communities, LGBTQI+ individuals, sex workers, persons with disabilities, and activists working with them.

Position Overview
POV is known for its work culture and ethic. Our team is diverse, hybrid and intergenerational. Our work culture is non-hierarchical and flexible. Empathy and kindness are in our DNA. At this stage of our growth, we are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, hands-on Manager to lead our Human Resources to join our team. They will be responsible for driving organization development and culture and contribute significantly to building POV 3.0.

Key Responsibilities
The HR Manager’s scope will be primarily responsible for the following but is not limited to these areas:
Develop and implement an effective HR policy framework built around the organization's core mission, values and strategies. This will require review of existing framework, policies and practices.
Develop and implement talent management strategies, programs, and initiatives to assess, develop, and retain high-potential talent. Source, screen, and interview candidates to assess their qualifications and fit for the role & organization including conducting reference checks and coordinate background checks for selected candidates.
Ensure effective implementation of prescribed HR policies including recruitment, and selection policy/ practices, discipline, grievance, counselling, pay and conditions (C&B), contracts, onboarding, training and development, succession planning, morale and motivation, performance appraisals, and quality management issues.
Liaise with other functions to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purposes and achievements.
Design and execute performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and work plans.
Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and develop programs to drive culture and values within POV.
Systematically determine, plan, coordinate and implement staff training and development programs. Create systems to determine and analyse training impact.
Support employee engagement initiatives including employee surveys, action planning, and recognition programs.
Monitor changes in laws, regulations and technology that may affect the organization's operations; Implement policy and procedural changes as required from time to time ensuring risk mitigation at all times. Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct.
Ensure strict adherence to Employment and Statutory Laws prevailing in the country, including POSH.
Qualifications, experience and competencies:
Postgraduate in Business Administration, HR, or Social Work, with a specialisation in HR from a reputed institution
About 8 - 10 years of experience in human resource management, organizational development, or related HR roles
At least 5-6 years of experience in the non-profit sector. Working in a feminist or rights based organization is desirable
Experience of implementing people management systems, processes and practices, that cater to a hybrid work environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Hindi
Proven people management skills with emphasis on empathy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite is a must
Willingness and ability to undertake regular travel to program locations, as necessary

At least 8-10 years

Location
Mumbai; remote working options within Mumbai are possible.

Salary
This is a full-time position. We o?er competitive remuneration within the nonprofit sector.
