This position aims to develop community engagement plan, mobilize communities, and improve their awareness to engage them in TIF’s key technical areas related to Education, Gender Based Violence, Climate change and Mental Health.

Responsibilities

Develop community engagement strategy, undertake field-visits to implement community activities, support in development of technical content for project proposals, reports, presentations, fact sheets, and promotional campaign.
• Develop and implement strategies on specific issues to work with community groups.
• Seek to actively engage communities and identify their skills, assets, issues, needs, rights, and responsibilities
• Follow up visits of beneficiaries through group meetings and individual home visits as per schedule
• Set goals for improvement and respond to community problems and needs through empowerment and active participation
• Build links with other groups and agencies and liaison with local governments, banks, village level committees. Plan, attend and coordinate meetings and events
• Helps in organizing the fairs, exhibitions, and related skill/knowledge management workshops.
• Maintain documentation of beneficiaries’ enterprise details at field and branch office.
• Linking beneficiaries with different social security schemes.
• Prepare reports and other required documents.
• Any other works required to meet the objectives of the organisation from the Senior Management of the Program.
Qualifications
• A strong interest in development sector, especially public health, climate change, issues related to women and girls and poverty alleviation.
• A bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, or related field.
• 1-2 years working experience with communities in non-profit sector is desired, but freshers may also apply.
• Must have excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Experience managing meetings (face to face and virtual) and planning community events and field visits.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365.
• Able to juggle multiple competing deadlines
• Three references will be required.

Salary range - 8000 to 10,000 per month
