Role Overview:
The Project Coordinator will lead day-to-day implementation of all planned interventions across 20 villages and ensure project activities are executed within timelines and quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between field teams, technical experts, and PRIDE India management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
• Prepare monthly micro-plans aligned with the approved project plan.
• Coordinate all NRM activities including:
o 15 check dam desiltations per year
o Construction of recharge shafts, farm ponds, well renovations
o Micro-irrigation and solar pump installation.
• Liaison with Panchayats, Revenue Dept., and technical agencies for permissions.
Technical & Quality Monitoring:
• Ensure quality control during civil/NRM construction.
• Conduct regular site monitoring visits; prepare technical checklists.
• Coordinate with technical consultants/engineers where required.
Capacity Building & Extension:
• Plan and facilitate 60+ farmer trainings and exposure visits.
• Support formation and operation of village-level Tool Banks.
Community Engagement:
• Conduct village-level meetings and ensure inclusion of vulnerable households in selection.
• Resolve field-level disputes/conflicts (land, water access).
Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare monthly progress reports, photographs, GPS coordinates, and data sets.
• Support PRIDE India in baseline, impact studies, donor visits, and audits.
• Document success stories and best practices.
Other Duties: Undertake additional duties as directed by the Reporting Manager, ensuring alignment with the organizational objectives and vision, thereby contributing to the overall mission of the organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Water Resource Management, or similar.
• 3–5 years’ experience in NRM, watershed management, agriculture extension, or livelihood projects.
• Experience working with tribal communities required.
• Proficiency in Marathi and basic computer/MS Office skills.
