RFP for Selection of Expert Agency to Conduct Hydrogeology Study in Rajasthan

Background: Centre for microFinance (CmF), a not-for-profit organization established in 2007, works to catalyze community-based microfinance, climate resilient livelihoods and water security, education, nutrition and skill development. CmF invites proposals from qualified and experienced agencies to undertake a detailed Hydrogeological Study in selected project villages across Rajasthan.
Goal: The objective of this assignment is to identify groundwater recharge and discharge zones within each village and recommend suitable sites for water harvesting and recharge interventions. The study will also assess the potential area of benefit from these interventions.
Scope of Work: The assignment covers four separate projects. The study is divided into two parts:
1. Part I: Intensive Hydrogeological Study (99 Villages):
- Detailed primary data collection and field validation in 56 villages (Project A), 30 villages (Project B), 8 villages (Project C), and 5 villages (Project D).
- Outputs include aquifer characterization, recharge/discharge zone identification, runoff estimation, mapping of existing structures, the potential area of benefit from recommended interventions.
2. Part II: Non-Intensive Secondary Data/Map-based Study:
- Block-level study covering 9 blocks across the 6 districts using secondary data and remote sensing to provide broader understanding.

- Completion of Assignment: 20 March 2026

Proposal Requirements: 1. Technical Proposal: Agency profile, methodology for both intensive and non-intensive parts, team composition, CVs, and timeline. 2. Financial Proposal: A separate document with a detailed cost breakdown (inclusive of taxes), split clearly by the four projects (A, B, C, & D).
