About the Organization: Centre for microFinance (CmF), a not-for-profit organization established in 2007, works to catalyze community-based microfinance, climate resilient livelihoods and water security, education, nutrition and skill development.
Project: With support from the ICICI Foundation, CmF is implementing the "Community led Sustainable Water Security Project," aimed at arresting groundwater depletion and enhancing water security in 45 villages from Sirohi and Pali districts of Rajasthan.
RFP: CmF invites proposals from competent agencies to conduct a comprehensive baseline Assessment in 45 villages across the Sirohi and Pali districts. The study will establish benchmarks for a 3-year intervention focusing on groundwater recharge, micro-irrigation, and institutional strengthening.
The assessment will focus on:
- Water Resources: Recording baseline data on availability, usage patterns for domestic, livestock, and agricultural needs.
- Agricultural Profile: assessing land ownership, cropping patterns, irrigation practices (flood vs. micro-irrigation), and water productivity.
- Governance: Mapping community institutions and assessing knowledge/perceptions regarding groundwater depletion and water governance.
Timeline:
- Deadline for Clarifications: 16 January 2026
- Proposal Submission Deadline: 22 January 2026
- Selection of Agency: 31 January 2026
- Completion of Assignment: 25 March 2026
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in conducting similar studies (baseline/impact assessments) in the Water Security/NRM/Livelihood sector.
- Team composition must include expertise in Water Security, NRM, documentation, analysis.
