About the Project
The proposed project is a grassroots, field-implementation-focused intervention aimed at water conservation, aquatic ecosystem restoration, and community-led water governance.
The project will work directly with villages to restore ponds, rivers and recharge systems, strengthen community institutions, and ensure long-term water security through participatory planning and on-ground execution.
Project Coordinator will be responsible for overall planning, coordination and field-level implementation of the project, ensuring effective execution of water conservation and ecosystem restoration activities while strengthening community institutions and maintaining close coordination with technical experts, field teams and local stakeholders.

Location : Bada Malhara Block, Chhatarpur District, Madhya Pradesh
Remuneration : 50 to 60 Thousand Per Month
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
• Lead overall planning and execution of project activities at block and village level.
• Coordinate day-to-day project operations ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Work closely with technical experts, field staff and community institutions.
Field Implementation & Supervision:
• Oversee on-ground implementation of water conservation, recharge structures, pond rejuvenation and ecosystem restoration activities.
• Ensure quality control and technical compliance of field interventions.
• Undertake regular field visits to monitor progress and resolve implementation challenges.
Coordination with Line Departments & Institutions:
• Coordinate and maintain regular liaison with line departments including Irrigation Department, Jal Jeevan Mission, PHED, MGNREGA, Agriculture Department, and VB-GRAM-G.
• Establish working collaboration with technical institutions, Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), ICAR institutes, academic and research institutions for technical guidance, convergence and knowledge support.
• Facilitate technical inputs, exposure visits and joint reviews with government departments and institutions to strengthen field implementation and ecosystem restoration interventions.
Community Engagement & Institution Strengthening:
• Facilitate engagement with Panchayati Raj Institutions, VWSCs, Pani Panchayats and community groups.
• Support participatory planning processes such as Village Water Security Plans and village-level action plans.
• Ensure active community participation and ownership of project interventions.
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation:
• Track project progress against planned outputs and outcomes.
• Ensure timely preparation of progress reports, field notes and documentation.
• Support data collection, validation and reporting as per project requirements.
Team Management:
• Supervise and guide field staff and community facilitators.
• Support capacity building and performance management of the field team.
Overall Accountability:
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Flag risks and challenges and propose corrective measures.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the organisation in line with project goals.
Qualification & Experience
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree (M.Tech / B.Tech / M.Sc.) in Water Resources & Environment Management, Water Science and Governance, Environmental Science or related disciplines
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in water conservation, watershed development, ecosystem restoration or similar field-based projects.
Mandatory requirement: Own two-wheeler (motorcycle) with valid driving license for regular field travel.
Desired Competencies:
• Strong understanding of water conservation and ecosystem restoration concepts.
• Proven experience in field-based project implementation.
• Ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to work extensively in rural and remote areas.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
