About the Role and Requirements
Role: Manager- Finance & Accounts
Reporting to: Lead Finance
Type: Full Time
Date of Joining: Immediate
Location: Bengaluru (Sarjapur Road)
Remuneration (CTC): Rs.80K to 90K per month
• 8-10 plus years of experience is compulsory out of which 5+ is in a Social Sector.
• Completely conversant with Social Sector Accounting norms and up-to-date with the recent changes in the Social Sector regulations.
• Willing to research, learn, analyse & advice on new regulations in the Social Sector Space
• Total comfort and full understanding of Tally
• Experience in automation of reports from Tally or other tools to ease operations and reporting.
• Comfortable in working with diverse Team and experience in advising and building the Support team along with the other Managers of the organization
• High Proficiency in Excel/ word/PPT and Google suite
• Strong Verbal and written communication, in Kannada, English and Hindi
• Comfortable in working with some degree of ambiguity and the absence of perfect information
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
1. Expert Finance & accounting knowledge
• Fully conversant with the rules governing Section 8 companies under Companies Act, Guidelines of ICAI on all accounting standards, Guidance Notes, Income tax rules applicable to NGOs, Fund based accounting, FCRA requirements and reporting
• Thorough knowledge and experience of using Tally/Tally Prime. Familiar with accounting in Tally, Cost Center accounting, taking out reports, automation of reports through tools, excels, Macros;
• Fully conversant on the requirement on the current rules and laws applicable to NGOs/ Section 12AA, 80 G, Compliances
• Manage Expense allocations across the programs and donor projects
• Manage Statutory and Donor audits and ensure all compliances are met as per the statutory requirements.
2. Budgeting, reporting, MIS.
• Drive strategic and operational budgeting, forecasting/outlook and monitoring process across the organization.
• Strong analytical skills and forecasting/ outlook skills along with the ability to understand the programme and the impact
• Own end to end financials of the donor grant cycle- from Budgeting to Forecasting to Utilisation reports within the scheduled time line
• Prepare project level expense projections/outlook in tandem with the respective internal stakeholders
• Lead development and provision routine and ad hoc analytic reports to the senior management team and to the respective program leads
• Run variance analysis and provide insights to the respective program/ function lead for help of gathering business insights and enable decision making.
• Lead the accounting team and partner with the programs to timely book closure and reporting
• Interact with different stakeholders and senior leadership team.
3. Compliances- Statutory
• Ensuring Secretarial compliances and documentation requirements as per the Companies Act.
• Ensuring the compliance of all the acts where organization is covered, PF, ESI, Gratuity, TDS, Shops & Establishment act etc.
