Job Description_ Programme Officer

Mobile Creches, (MC) a pioneer NGO, has been operational since 1969, reaching child care and health services to more than 15,000 children every year, through workplace and community based crèches and daycare centres.

MC pioneered the cause of Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and focuses on the young child under six years in urban slums and the migrant child, at construction site. MC’s multi-pronged approach- working with construction worker’s children, urban slum communities training and ECD partnership address both the short and long term needs of children. It is officially recognized as a technical resource by the government and is on the path by scaling up with government and other players in civil society.

As an organization, Mobile Creches adheres to a strict safeguarding policy. All staff, volunteers, interns, vendors, consultants etc. are obliged to be aware of the conditions of this policy, be a signatory to this and follow the norms.

Reporting to: Senior Manager – Resource Mobilisation

Educational Qualifications-

Graduation in any field

Total work Experience in the relevant field-

At least 2 years of work experience. Experience in social development sector will be an added advantage

Job Description-
1. The person should have experience in handling donors – Individual, Corporates & Institutional
2. The person should have ability to sense the opportunities and be able to connect them with correct people in the organization
3. Experience in handling donation based tracking sheets.
4. Should be able to maintain and update donation & donor related database.
5. Timely submission of the reports (Monthly/ Quarterly/ Half Yearly/ Annually) internally and with external forums.
6. Should be a good presenter in all the appropriate forums.
7. Should be able to handle RM related campaigns & appeals – through both online mode and on ground mode
8. Should be able to assist Sr. manager RM in sending all donor related communications
9. Assist Sr. Manager RM in proposal writing and timely submission of all reports etc.
10. Engage and nurture existing donors under the guidance of Sr. manager RM for cultivating and relation building.
11. Assist Sr. Manager RM for cold calling, arranging appointments, arranging fund raising campaigns etc.
12. Management of DMS hive
13. Assist Sr. Manager RM in engagement of volunteers and Interns.
14. S/he will be able to conduct first level interviews of probable Volunteers and Interns.
15. Coordination and yearly management of yearly and events and celebrations.
16. Provide relevant material for Annual report and support communications team
17. Coordination with the Communication Team to provide regular updates for MC website and social media spaces
18. Record Keeping.

1. Good interpersonal and communication skills
2. Good with handling data and have an analytical view
3. Good writing skills
4. Experience and Knowledge of MS Office
5. Motivator and Influencer amongst youngsters
