Position Summary:
The role leads ACCESS’s strategic communications, branding, and public relations efforts to strengthen organizational visibility and stakeholder engagement. It oversees integrated communication strategies, digital and social media presence, content creation, media relations, and flagship event communications, ensuring consistent messaging and strong brand alignment across all platforms and programmes.
Responsibilities:
• Develops and implements an integrated, organization wide strategic communications plan to broaden awareness and strengthen ACCESS’s brand identity across key stakeholder audiences.
• Provides leadership in developing and managing program-based communication strategy and plan in line with the organization’s needs.
• Creates a Brand/Marketing/Public Relations strategy that will allow ACCESS to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high level external audiences.
• Expands ACCESS’s social media presence into new social media platforms and increases presence on existing platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive, end-to-end communications strategy for flagship events of ACCESS.
• Oversee the creation of all event-related content and collateral, including press releases, key messages, website copy, social media graphics, email campaigns, brochures, reports, and videos.
• Develop and execute social media campaigns for key days, themes, and priority upcoming content.
• Curates content and increase audience engagement on ACCESS’s social media channels.
• Oversees, or executes as needed, the development of all print and branded materials such as an annual report, newsletters, leaflets, brochures, mailers, web page and blog content, business presentations, project-related communication material etc.
• Serves as lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization and actively cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage of issues of strategic importance to the sector, as well as ACCESS’s programmes, special events, public announcements, and other projects.
• Uses storytelling, photography, videography, and creative writing as tools for documentation of stories from the ground.
• Maintains and improves branding guidelines of the organization and works towards increasing organisation’s visibility online through the publication of relevant stories and research findings.
• Manages relationships with any communications related vendors or consultants.
Education & Experience:
Post Graduate degree in Communication from a reputed institute with at least 12 years of work experience that includes media relations. An experience or understanding of development sector will be an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
• Experience managing and executing across several communications media
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
• Familiarity with widely used graphic design software (Adobe, Corel, Photoshop etc.)
• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
• Superior project management and time management skills
• Strong understanding to manage current trends in digital media/social media
• Website management
Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel including in remote geographies within India
Compensation: The salary range in this position is commensurate to industry standards and will be determined based upon the experiences and fixed as per the HR policies of the organization.
