About Project:
Tech for Society is an initiative aimed at building a sustainable innovation and industry-readiness ecosystem in government engineering colleges in Karnataka. The project focuses on strengthening faculty capacity, fostering student-led innovation, and deepening industry–academia collaboration. Through faculty development programs, hackathons, incubation support, and access to emerging technologies, the project enables students to convert ideas into industry-relevant solutions. The initiative is implemented in partnership with industry leaders, government institutions, and innovation ecosystems to improve employability and entrepreneurial outcomes for engineering students.
Role Summary:
The Project Coordinator/Associate will support on-ground implementation of the Tech for Society project at assigned government engineering colleges. The role focuses on coordination, execution, reporting, and stakeholder engagement at the college level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of faculty development programs, student innovation activities, and industry engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate with college faculty, students, industry mentors, and local partners.
- Organize workshops, FDPs, hackathons, meetings, and review sessions.
- Track project activities, outputs, and indicators at the field level.
- Support baseline studies, data collection, documentation, and case studies.
- Maintain project records, attendance, reports, and photographs.
- Ensure timely communication between colleges and the central project team.
- Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in project coordination or program implementation.
- Experience working with educational institutions or development projects preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally and work closely with colleges.
