Founded in 1994, the Financial Management Service Foundation (FMSF) is a pioneering development organization committed to promoting financial accountability within the voluntary sector. Since its inception, FMSF has been dedicating its efforts to enhancing the capacities of Non-profit Organizations (NPOs) in the areas of Financial Management, Governance, and Legal Compliance. To enhance accountable practices in the voluntary sector, FMSF serves as a vital resource hub for NPOs. FMSF engages with various development actors to raise awareness and provide support through training, workshops, seminars, advisory services, publications, and web-based outreach. By continually evolving, adapting, and offering expert guidance, FMSF plays a crucial role in strengthening the voluntary sector and contributing to positive social impact.
 
Position Overview
The organization is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join the team as Specialist - Grants. The position will be responsible for grant management of development projects. From ensuring compliance to donor requirements to providing support for enhancing the financial management capacity, the role requires wholistic understanding of the development sector. The incumbent will be responsible for guiding the NGOs in strengthening their governance, financial management and compliance system and practices.  
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the grant management portfolio of medium to large size development projects.
  • Liaison with relevant stake holders for effective implementation of projects
  • Conduct budget review and analysis to ensure effective program planning and implementation
  • Ensure effective cash flow planning and periodic review of the plan
  • Timely review and disbursement of project funds to partners
  • Ensure all documentation is readily accessible by maintaining an organized and up-to-date information management and filing system
  • Promote continuous improvement and efficiency in the financial management, compliance, and governance processes of NGOs
  • Conduct periodic field visit for effective project implementation
  • Contribute in other capacity building initiatives of the organization
  • Carry out any other duties or tasks as required by FMSF
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the development sector
  • Preferably an MBA/CA/M.Com in Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of grant management, project financial management.
  • Demonstrates efficient time management skills
  • Good analytical and desktop management skills
  • Proficient in IT and communication tools
  • Willingness to travel within and outside the country
