Position/Role Overview:
The Fundraising department is the HEART / Life Line of any non Profit Business -Philanthropic Organization and Manager Impact Partnerships is a dynamic, multi-tasking individual who plays an important role at Raintree Foundation. You have to help to raise funds to support the organization and its programs. The Three Elements of Successful Fundraising the Pitch, the Platform, and the People.
The Pitch is what you say to “get someone to give”.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy Development:
- Developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure donations, grants and investments.
- Develop campaign plans to improve the organization’s fundraising objectives.
- In cooperation with the management team, assist in creation of the strategy for Raintree Foundation’s fundraising activities and building a diverse portfolio with clear short, medium and long-term objectives
Donor Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors. Identify new donors (national + international),
- Participate in meetings, conferences and events to promote the organization and raise funds.
- Develop relationships with companies and government bodies to facilitate fundraising.
- Undertake donor management and reporting – coordinate with internal teams for data and insights, track and write donor reports, send regular updates to donors, facilitate field visits.
- Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify potential donors, partners, and funding opportunities aligned with the organization’s programs and initiatives. (national and international)
- Develop relationships with companies and government bodies to facilitate fundraising.
- Updating and maintaining records and statistics on donors and donations.
- Utilize donor databases, wealth screening tools, and other resources to assess donor capacity, interests, and philanthropic priorities.
Grant Proposal Development:
- Lead the development and submission of high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications to secure institutional funding from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making entities.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, guidelines, and reporting obligations throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Research and apply for grant opportunities by establishing a systematic process for partner outreach and relationship management
Fundraising Events and Campaigns:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals to engage donors, raise awareness, and generate financial support for the organization’s programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling messaging, marketing materials, and donor communications for fundraising initiatives.
- Manage some funder relationships independently + support the CEO or Founder in managing others
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop annual fundraising budgets, revenue projections, and expense forecasts in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor fundraising performance against targets, track revenue and expenses, and provide regular reports and analysis to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain income and expenditure tracking systems
Team Leadership and Capacity Building:
- Supervise and mentor fundraising staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to build a high-performing fundraising team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the fundraising team and across the organization
Qualifications - Master’s degree in Non profit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
