SHIVI Development Society (SDS) is a non-profit civil society organisation, which undertakes and facilitates development processes that positively impact the lives of poor and most marginalized sections of the society. SDS works on the issues of women empowerment, good governance and public affairs, child rights, and promotes people’s participation with gender as a cross cutting theme. SDS undertakes community outreach programmes including participatory research, and grass root action.

SDS is looking for women professionals working in the development sector with a special interest in women’s issues. The person should have a postgraduate degree in Social work/Sociology/Law with minimum 2-3 years of work experience. The person must have good command over spoken and written English and Hindi languages. A good knowledge of UN human rights system would an advantage.

Major responsibilities:
- Lead mobilization and strengthening of network of Women organization at grassroots as well as state level
- Policy analysis and communication
- Facilitation of capacity building sessions
- Research and documentation
- Policy advocacy with relevant govt. departments and other stakeholders/opinion builders

Remuneration: Negotiable depending on the experience, comparable in NGO sector
