The role will lead the development of high-value fundraising opportunities, manage key donor relationships, and anchor the end-to-end fundraising cycle—from prospecting to closure and renewals.

This position requires strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to drive donor conversations independently, and cross-functional collaboration to develop high-quality proposals, reports, and impact communication that strengthen LLF’s positioning with institutional donors, corporates, foundations, and HNIs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Fundraising Strategy & Pipeline Development
  • Build and manage a robust fundraising pipeline aligned with annual organisational targets.
  • Identify and prioritize high-potential fundraising opportunities across institutional donors, CSR, foundations, and HNIs.
  • Track key fundraising metrics, monitor pipeline health, and ensure progress against fundraising goals.
2) Prospect Identification and Cultivation
  • Identify, research, and qualify new prospects (foreign foundations, corporates, multi-laterals, and HNIs).
  • Lead donor outreach and cultivate relationships on behalf of LLF through calls, meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain prospect intelligence and relationship history through structured documentation and reporting.
3) End-to-End Fundraising Cycle Ownership
  • Lead the end-to-end fundraising cycle for assigned donors and priority portfolios including:
  1. Donor mapping and engagement strategy
  2. Needs assessment and alignment to LLF programs
  3. Proposal development and budgeting inputs
  4. Due diligence support and documentation
  5. Negotiations, agreement closure, and renewals
  • Independently anchor high-stakes conversations and support Director-level closure where required.
4) Donor Relationship & Account Management
  • Manage relationships with existing donors and ensure high-quality engagement and donor satisfaction.
  • Coordinate responses to donor requests (program updates, financial clarifications, due diligence documentation, etc.).
  • Drive renewals, extensions, and upsell opportunities through evidence-based impact conversations.
5) Proposal, Reports & Grant Management Support
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop compelling proposals, concept notes, applications, donor reports, and impact updates.
  • Ensure proposals and reports meet donor standards, timelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Anchor internal coordination for grant submissions and ensure timely delivery of donor communications.
6) Communication Material Development & Thought Leadership Support
  • Review and contribute to donor-facing communication materials including:
  1. website content, brochures, infographics, pitch decks
  2. annual reports, donor impact narratives, case studies
  • Support social media communication (Twitter, LinkedIn) aligned to fundraising and partnership priorities.
  • Strengthen LLF’s donor positioning through crisp storytelling and sector-relevant narratives.
7) Representation and External Partnerships
  • Represent LLF in relevant forums, conferences, CSR platforms, and partner meetings to strengthen the organisation’s visibility and profile.
  • Build and maintain networks with ecosystem players, CSR leaders, and philanthropic communities to expand LLF’s reach.
8) Team Support and Internal Capacity Building
  • Provide guidance and mentoring support to junior team members/interns/consultants involved in research, documentation, and proposal development (as applicable).
  • Support process improvements for fundraising operations, trackers, and donor knowledge management systems.
9) Additional Responsibilities
  • Undertake other responsibilities mutually agreed upon with the Director, Fundraising & Partnerships.
Educational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience
  • Minimum 9–12 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, business development, or a closely related role.
  • Proven experience of closing high-value grants/partnerships and managing institutional donors end-to-end.
  • Strong experience working with external stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Experience in content development, donor communication, and campaign-oriented outreach (preferred).
Skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills for identifying and cultivating new prospects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to develop compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and donor relationship skills.
