UTMT Society started out as a modest pilot in Valsad, Gujarat in 2009. Today UTMT Society works in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, touching the lives of 67000+ farmers. Role Responsibilities
  • 1 per block or a minimum of 300 - 500 beekeepers
  • Planning, implementation, monitoring and delivering results for the programs in the block
  • Preliminary assessment of villages along with the technical team
  • Awareness creation by FGDs and group sessions
  • Farmer selection - developing a list of farmers in consultation with TE
  • Organising and conducting farmer training and seasonal training
  • Planning, organising and conducting TA/MT training
  • Planning for monthly Farmer Meeting along with TAs/MTs and attending at least 4 meetings per month
  • Inventory management/distribution
  • Maintaining registers and records - training, bee flora, contribution, equipment distribution, stock
  • Maintaining a photo bank of all activities project-wise
  • Developing technical carder - selection and evaluation
  • Target setting and planning for target achievements, monitoring targets on a weekly basis and problem-solving
  • M&E work
  • Bee flora management
  • Accounts-related work
  • Develop a monthly plan in coordination with PM/TL
  • Honey/wax/colony sale
  • Support FPO work
  • 12 to 15 days of field work
  • Farmer contribution - flora/kit/colony
  • Apiary management/development in consultation with Sr. TE
  • Sugar feeding/ Feeding - planning, distribution, follow-up
  • Reporting and documentation - written, audio & video
Educational Qualifications
Master's in Social Work / Master's in Agriculture or above
Graduate/Post Graduate/Post Graduate Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture/Plant Science/Food Science/Forestry and other related disciplines
Preferred previous experience
Minimum 2 - 4 years of work experience in a similar role
2 - 3 year in agriculture-related areas/ NGOs working in agriculture and/or monitoring and evaluation/data collection or similar work experience
Other Skills / Competencies
  • Ability to think and make decisions pertaining to matters on field
  • Ability to manage relationships
  • Basic financial management
  • Basic reporting writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate in Hindi is a must.
  • A person should be flexible, willing to work in a startup environment, and have good problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic knowledge about the social sector is preferred
