ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3), is a not for profit organization that improves the lives of women and girls in India. Through local partnerships and programs, C3’s proven approach to development gives women, young girls and boys the tools they need to improve their lives, as well as that of their families and communities. Our programs focus on increasing educational and livelihood opportunities for adolescent girls, ensuring access to lifesaving reproductive health information and services, and strengthening ability to become leaders in their communities.
Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3) is initiating implementation of a project on building leadership capacities of grassroots leaders in Uttar Pradesh to prioritize and consistently engage in improving delivery of health and nutrition services.The project strengthens leadership with a focus on health, nutrition and gender equity. It builds community capacity through structured orientations and meetings to enhance awareness, mobilization and local action. The program strengthens convergence between Panchayati Raj Institutions, the Health Department, and ICDS. It promotes the inclusion of health, nutrition, and gender priorities in village-level planning and implementation. The project provides technical support at the state level and on-ground implementation support. It is currently being implemented in four districts of Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow, Varanasi, Fatehpur and Shravasti.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves coordinating with block level government officials, Pradhan, Front Line Workers (CHO, ANM, ASHA, AWW, Teachers) and community stakeholders to improve health, nutrition, leadership and gender equity outcomes. The position focuses on field implementation, community mobilization, supervision and reporting to support effective project execution.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate with district- and block-level officials and represent the organization in meetings, reviews and coordination platforms.
• Facilitate convergence with Health, PRI and Panchayat Departments for effective use of VHSNC and JAS funds and integration into GPDP planning.
• Conduct regular field visits (20–22 per month) to supervise village-level activities and provide on-ground handholding and problem-solving support.
• Participate in and guide block, cluster and village-level meetings and key community events to ensure quality execution.
• Oversee monitoring, documentation, data collection, MIS updating and timely submission of reports, travel plans and expenditure statements.
• Document and share success stories/case studies and undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor/State Head.
Note: The roles and responsibilities mentioned above are not exhaustive. Role holder will be guided to perform different tasks as necessitated by changing role within the organization and the overall
objectives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Graduate in any streams with minimum 5 years of experience of working in NGO
• Familiarity with Panchayat’s work, Health and Nutrition
• Desirable- Post Graduate in Social Work/Public Health
• Basic understanding of Excel and Word.
• Ability to navigate applications, Google Forms, and web pages on a mobile phone.
• Good coordination, networking, and communication skills.
• Sensitivity to issues related to girls, women, and diversity.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Clarity in written and oral communication skills (Hindi).
• Reading skills in Hindi and English
• Two-wheeler with valid driving licence is mandatory
