Position Overview
AVN Pragati Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Officer / Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure transparency in financial management, and maintain compliance with statutory and donor regulations.
The Finance Officer will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and strengthening the financial systems of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts for the organization.
• Manage all financial transactions in compliance with organizational policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budget planning, monitoring, and variance analysis.
Accounting & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and donor financial guidelines.
• Prepare financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income & Expenditure Statement, and Cash Flow reports.
• Compute and file tax returns including TDS, GST, and other applicable taxes.
• Ensure timely statutory filings and regulatory compliance.
Financial Reporting
• Prepare and submit financial reports to donors and management as per reporting schedules.
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records for audit purposes.
• Coordinate with external auditors during internal and statutory audits.
Banking & Reconciliation
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy in bank records.
• Maintain supporting financial documents and vouchers.
Financial Systems & Documentation
• Maintain financial records using Tally Accounting Software.
• Ensure financial documentation meets donor compliance requirements.
• Support financial monitoring of projects and grants.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or MBA in Finance.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in NGOs or development organizations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management systems.
• Hands-on experience with Tally (Advanced Level).
• Knowledge of statutory regulations including Income Tax, TDS, GST, PF, ESI, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling financial audits independently.
