Role Summary

The Communications Coordinator will lead the Foundation’s communication strategy, storytelling, and visibility initiatives to strengthen donor engagement, institutional credibility, programme awareness, and brand positioning. The role integrates impact communication, digital presence, partner visibility, and content development aligned with MOCF’s early detection and patient navigation mission.

This is a strategic function supporting fundraising, partnerships, and programme advocacy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Communication Strategy & Brand Positioning
· Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy aligned with organisational priorities
· Maintain consistency of brand identity, narrative, and messaging across platforms
· Shape organisational voice for donors, partners, beneficiaries, and public audiences
· Ensure alignment of communications with fundraising and partnership goals

2. Impact & Programme Communication

· Translate programme data and field activities into compelling narratives
· Develop case studies, beneficiary stories, and impact documentation
· Work closely with M&E and programme teams to ensure evidence-based communication
· Produce communication assets highlighting early detection, referral completion, and outcomes

3. Fundraising & Donor Communication Support
· Create donor-facing materials (presentations, brochures, reports, campaigns)
· Support proposal development with persuasive impact framing
· Design communication flows for CSR, institutional donors, and HNIs
· Strengthen visibility of donor partnerships and programme outcomes

4. Digital & Media Presence
· Manage website, social media, and digital communication channels
· Develop content calendars and campaigns
· Oversee creation of visual and multimedia assets
· Coordinate media outreach, press releases, and coverage opportunities

5. Content Development & Creative Direction
· Lead development of high-quality written, visual, and audio-visual content
· Coordinate with designers, agencies, and vendors when required
· Ensure communication materials meet professional and medical credibility standards
· Maintain repository of communication assets and documentation

6. Internal & Stakeholder Communication
· Support internal communication for organisational alignment
· Develop materials for partners, volunteers, and programme collaborators
· Ensure clarity and consistency of organisational updates and announcements

7. Reputation & Credibility Management
· Safeguard organisational messaging, tone, and public positioning
· Ensure ethical and responsible representation of patients and beneficiaries
· Maintain sensitivity in healthcare and cancer-related communications

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in one of the following preferred areas:
· Communications / Mass Media / Journalism
· Marketing / Branding
· Public Relations
· Development Communication / Social Sciences

Experience:
· 5–8+ years of relevant communications experience
· Experience in NGO / healthcare / development / social impact sectors preferred
· Familiarity with CSR / donor communications environment in India highly desirable
· Demonstrated experience in storytelling, campaigns, and brand management

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
· Exceptional writing and content structuring ability
· Strong understanding of digital communication channels
· Experience with design and content tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.) advantageous
· Ability to convert programme information into persuasive narratives
· Media and stakeholder communication skills
· Visual communication sensibility
· Strategic thinking and narrative design
· Ability to simplify complex healthcare concepts
· High editorial judgement and accuracy
· Stakeholder-oriented communication mindset
· Creativity balanced with institutional credibility
· Sensitivity to patient-centric storytelling
