Major Accountabilities: 1. Engage with NCOL member cooperatives for the initiation of Organic cultivation.
2. Train the interested member cooperative farmers and enroll them under a suitable organic certification programme.
3. Lead a team to execute member cooperative training and organic certification across the country.
4. Plan, forecast, and grow through member cooperatives as per the guidelines received from the management.
5. Apart from Organic Certification compliance, the incumbent shall also be responsible for all other statutory compliances.
6. Should have good training/management skills to train/guide farmers on organic cultivation and storage.
7. To form new ICS, manage existing ICS, and create demo farms through lead farmers.
8. Engage with suitable certification bodies, from identification to onboarding to constant interaction, for achieving desired goals
Education: B.Sc. Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture, Ph.D./ MBA shall be an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in managing farmer engagement within Cooperatives, Agri Enterprises, Agri Businesses, etc. Relevant experience in organic certification is a must.
Handling of organic products shall be an added advantage.
Experience with cooperatives/FPO will also be an added advantage.
