Design and Readiness Lead

SwaTaleem Foundation is an India and US registered civil society organization that works towards creating a gender equal world through education in partnership with government systems. Its emphasis is on enhancing long-term educational and life outcomes of Girls through a community-centric approach backed by evidence-based pedagogy. It engages with Girls, teachers, schools stakeholders, government officials and parents.

Who Should Apply?

Educators and program designers with experience in government or rural education systems, particularly in career readiness, English, SEL, or adolescent girls? education, and the ability to oversee end-to-end program design and execution across multiple states (Karnataka, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh).

Roles and Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and oversee curriculum for Grade 6–12 rural adolescent girls in Critical Skills, Career Readiness and Foundational English, in consultation with state governments.
Conduct, synthesize, and consolidate research and evidence related to Critical Skills, Foundational English and Career Readiness.
Mentor and guide Design Managers, ensuring program quality, readiness, and effective execution across states.
Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure effective execution of the curriculum across Karnataka, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
Analyze program data, insights, and feedback, and iteratively incorporate learnings into curriculum and program design.
Work closely with the MEL team to ensure alignment between program design and evaluation frameworks.
Coordinate with the Technology team to ensure tech-enabled content remains aligned with the core curriculum design.
Create dissemination materials related to existing programs, including curricula, reports, research articles, facilitator guides, and other knowledge products.
Collaborate with graphic designers to develop visually engaging, contextual, and learner-friendly booklets and materials.
Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support and fulfill organizational priorities.

Experience

Demonstrated interest in social impact and development.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in facilitation, designing capacity-building programmes and experiential learning.

Qualifications & Skills

People with the following attributes and skills are encouraged to apply:
Experience in designing and facilitating programs, curricula, and workshop sessions in the government school system
Strong research, analysis, and evidence-synthesis skills, with the ability to translate insights into effective program design
Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, MEL, and Technology verticals
Experience aligning programs with state priorities while keeping the needs and essence intact.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Hindi and English
High standards of excellence, going beyond a checklist-driven approach
Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
Commitment to practicing participatory approach
Willingness to take on organizational priorities with quick turnaround timelines
Self-driven, reflective, and open to continuous improvement through feedback
Is comfortable with MS office, especially Excel and Word, Canva etc.

Experience in the following domains is preferred:

Classroom experience in government middle schools, particularly in the pedagogy of Life Skills, SEL, career readiness and/or English
Experience of working with teachers in rural government school settings
Prior experience of working on education programs for adolescent girls in rural contexts

Location:Delhi-NCR with travel to SwaTaleem's field sites (Haryana, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh)

Remuneration: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned with the non-profit sector standards.
