Program Manager – AI Skilling Initiative
 
SwaTaleemFoundation is an India and US registered civil society organization that works towards creating a gender equal world through education in partnership with government systems. Its emphasis is on enhancing long-term educational and life outcomes of Girls through a community-centric approach backed by evidence-based pedagogy. It engages with Girls, teachers, schools stakeholders, government officials and parents.
 
Note: This is a contractual position for a duration of one year, renewable based on performance.
 
Position Overview  
 
The Program Manager – AI Skilling Initiative will be responsible for leading and managing the complete AI education program. This person in this role will:
  • Design and implement AI courses for school students, teachers and Head Masters
  • Independently handle and manage one full AI program end-to-end
  • Contribute to other technology-based initiatives within the organization
  • Manage government liaison (SCERT) and partner liaison (grant partners and other collaborators)
  • Mentor and guide team members  
The selected candidate will be based in Gurugram, work closely with the SCERT office, visit the Delhi office once a week and travel to operational locations as required.

We are looking for a highly self-driven professional who can take initiative, start independently, and build structure from the ground up. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with minimal supervision, setting processes, driving execution, and taking full ownership of outcomes.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
1. AI Program Leadership (End-to-End Ownership)
  • Lead the complete AI Skilling Program from planning to execution.
  • Design AI curriculum suitable for:
  1. School students
  2. Teachers
  3. Head Masters / School Leaders
  • Develop structured learning modules (basic AI concepts, generative AI, AI in education, ethics, etc.).  
  • Plan implementation strategy (district-level, school-level, hybrid model).
  • Monitor program progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Ensure program quality, impact tracking, and continuous improvement.
2. AI Course Development & Implementation
  • Develop training content in Hindi and English.
  • Create presentations, facilitator guides, assignments, quizzes, and assessment tools.
  • Integrate content into LMS platforms (Moodle knowledge preferred).
  • Conduct both:
  1. In-person training sessions
  2. Virtual sessions (Zoom / LMS-based delivery)
  • Provide post-training support and follow-up.
3. Government Liaison (SCERT)
  • Coordinate directly with SCERT officials.
  • Handle official communication, documentation, and approvals.
  • Present program updates in review meetings.
  • Ensure alignment with government policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with government stakeholders.
4. Partner & Grant Liaison
  • Coordinate with grant partners and funding agencies.
  • Support reporting requirements for partners.
  • Share program updates, data insights, and impact reports.
  • Participate in review calls and strategic discussions with partners.
5. Team Handling, Mentoring & Guidance
  • Manage and mentor a small team.
  • Guide team members on:
  1. Content development
  2.  Training delivery
  3. Reporting and documentation
  • Ensure accountability and quality of work.
  • Support team growth and skill development.
  • Work independently while also collaborating across departments.  
6. Data Management & Reporting
  • Oversee data collection and monitoring systems.
  • Track participation, training outcomes, and impact indicators.
  • Conduct basic data analysis.
  • Prepare structured reports for:
  1. SCERT
  2. Grant partners
  3. Internal leadership
7. Contribution to Other Tech Programs
  • Support and contribute to other technology-based initiatives within SwaTaleem.
  • Assist in new program design and innovation in the tech education space.
  • Provide strategic inputs for scaling AI and digital learning programs.
Skills and Experience 
  • Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Education, Technology, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts and their application in education.
  • Strong government liaison experience (especially with education departments).
  • Experience in curriculum design and training program development.
  • Experience in conducting in-person and virtual workshops.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle preferred).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Fluency in Hindi and English (mandatory).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to handle one complete program independently.
  • Team mentoring and leadership ability.
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills.
Remuneration: The role includes an initial three-month probation period. Immediate joining is preferred.The remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, in the range of Rs 60,000– Rs 65,000 per month. Field travel costs will be additional and reimbursed separately.
