Project Summary:
CHAI and Azeem Premji Foundation in collaboration have launched a new project “VASATI” for providing palliative care services in home environment in Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri districts of Telangana State. The project is aimed at enhancing the quality of life and quality of death of the people living with terminal and chronic illness and their families through home visits, community awareness & education, and networking with different stakeholders.
Job Description
The incumbent will work in a team, be responsible for providing physiotherapy for patients at home and train their family member to conduct prescribed therapy and follow up the same in absence of professional therapist. Supports the project team in implementation of project activities such as home care visits, community awareness activities, engaging local community leaders and other stakeholders and organisations to extend social, psychological and economic support to the family and the patient. He/She reports to the Project Coordinator.
The incumbent is expected to deliver specific task or assignments to ensure the projects runs smoothly and achieve all the deliverables of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct home care visits along with the team and independently where needed to provide physiotherapy to the patients in project sites.
- Execute the orders of project doctor.
- Document the intervention and outcomes of intervention.
- Participate in all project activities including community awareness, networking, stakeholder engagement, project reviews and planning meetings.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor/Master degree in Physiotherapy.
- Minimum 02 years of relevant experience in independently providing therapeutic interventions.
- Desirable to have experience of working in a rural/urban community development projects.
- Willingness to extensively travel within Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri districts.
- Two wheeler driving with licence.
