Finance Officer / Senior Accountant
DMI Global Mission is the socio-pastoral development wing of the Society of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI). DMI works with vulnerable communities across seven mission countries in Africa, Asia, and Oceania, implementing development and humanitarian programs through mission-centered and community-led approaches.

DMI Global Mission invites applications for the position of Finance Officer / Senior Accountant to be based in Chennai, India, as part of the Global Team

Location: Chennai, India
Reporting to: Global Director – Organization Development
Functional Reporting: Global Finance Adviser

Key Responsibilities
• Support and coordinate financial management across all mission countries.
• Ensure implementation of DMI financial policies, systems, and procedures.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports from mission countries.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, statutory regulations, and audit processes.
• Support annual budgeting, budget monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Ensure effective use of Tally accounting software and standardized chart of accounts.
• Provide technical support and guidance to mission finance teams.
• Participate in periodic financial review visits to mission countries.
• Assist in preparation of project budgets for proposals and donor reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial accountability across missions.

Qualifications
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (professional qualification preferred).
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in finance management within development, humanitarian, or mission-based organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Tally accounting software, budgeting, audits, and donor compliance.
• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams across multiple countries.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
