About Organisation:
SARD is a pan India organization currently working in 9 states of India through its 13 field offices. SARD has been able to mobilize support from multilateral, bilateral institutions, INGOs (international Non-Govt. Organizations), foundations, leading corporates, and individuals since inception. SARD’s thrust is to build the organizational and leadership capacities of its stakeholders. SARD takes a holistic and integrated approach to development that favours the sustainability of its programs by providing people access to tools, training, and structures they need.
SARD is contributing to an ongoing program focused on children and youth in the age groups of 2–18 years and 19–24 years, aiming to support their holistic development and well-being.
To effectively implement and strengthen this program, SARD intends to engage dedicated professionals who will support program delivery
The initiative emphasizes on Child Path Model life skills development, inclusion, personal growth, and opportunities for self-discovery, enabling children and young people to build confidence, resilience, and a positive sense of identity. Special attention will be given to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every child and youth—regardless of background—has equal opportunities to participate, learn, and thrive.
Through structured engagement, mentoring, and community-based activities, the program will support participants in developing social, emotional, and leadership skills, preparing them to make informed decisions and contribute positively to their communities.
1. Program Lead
A. About the Role
Title: Program Lead
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Sahabad Dairy, Delhi (North), India
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (April 2026 – March 2027, renewable based on performance and project continuity). He/ she will work with a team of over 50 staff comprising 5 Program Executives, 46 Facilitators and a finance executive. He/she shall report to senior management of SARD and back donors.

Key Working Relationships: Executive Director, Finance Team, Program Executive(s), volunteers, care providers, Government Officials, Schools, other Community Stakeholders, Donor representatives.
B. Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership, planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Children’s Development Project at Sahabad Dairy, ensuring quality programming, compliance, safeguarding, and achievement of project outcomes.
C. Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement annual work plans aligned with program objectives and quality standards through participatory planning.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity building to field officers/social workers on program guidelines, protocols, and best practices.
• Lead and manage the field team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and effective program implementation.
• Conduct regular field reviews, monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions for program improvement.
• Strengthen coordination with local stakeholders, partners, and communities while ensuring effective program documentation and reporting.
• Support donor engagement, budget monitoring, compliance, audits, and represent SARD in relevant forums while upholding organizational values and safeguarding standards.
D. Required Skills & Experience
• Postgraduate in Social Work / Education / Development Studies / Public Policy.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in child-focused programs.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience in urban community development preferred.
• Proficiency in Hindi and English.
• Strong planning, reporting, and coordination skills.
This position shall carry salaries commensurate with qualifications and experience
