Curriculum and Content Development for AI Skilling

INTRODUCTION
Wadhwani AI is the flagship Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative of LEHS, a charitable organisation dedicated to building equitable and sustainable systems that bring modern technology to underserved populations in India. Our core mission is to develop, deploy, and rigorously evaluate AI-powered solutions for social impact across domains, including healthcare, agriculture, governance, and education.
In alignment with our objective to support projects of national and social significance, Wadhwani AI promotes the integration of cutting-edge technologies like AI into the Indian mainstream systems. We execute this through strategic partnerships with State and National Governments, apex institutions, international agencies, and key ecosystem contributors.
This Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued by Wadhwani AI, under LEHS, to identify a qualified agency / institution / consortium to design the curriculum and develop the content for the AI Skilling initiative.
BACKGROUND
India’s learners and workforce increasingly need foundational and applied AI skills to participate effectively in education, skilling, and the future of work. However, access to structured, high- quality, contextualized AI learning content remains limited, especially for learners in public and mass skilling systems. There is a need for curriculum and content that introduces AI concepts in an accessible manner, builds practical fluency in using AI tools, and supports safe, responsible, and effective application of AI in learning and workplace contexts.
In response, Wadhwani AI is undertaking an AI Skilling initiative to create scalable learning pathways that can be deployed through digital and blended channels. The broader initiative may be delivered through platforms such as LMS-based environments and program partnerships. However, this RFP is specifically focused only on the curriculum and content layer required for such deployment.
The selected partner will support Wadhwani AI in designing a robust curriculum framework, developing bilingual content in English and Hindi, and enabling master trainers / program partners to effectively use and deliver the curriculum in downstream deployment contexts.
PROJECTOBJECTIVES
The goal of this partnership is to design a high-quality AI Skilling curriculum and develop aligned content assets that can support large-scale deployment across diverse learner segments in India.
The partner organization will be responsible for achieving the following objectives:
- Curriculum Design: Develop a structured curriculum architecture, competency framework, module sequencing, and learning outcomes for the AI Skilling initiative.
- Content Development: Develop high-quality, bilingual content in English and Hindi, using suitable multimodal formats for digital and blended learning.
- Master Trainer Enablement: Support training of master trainers / program partners so they can subsequently conduct facilitator trainings and support implementation.

Contract Duration: The contract duration will be till December 2026
