About the Project:
The Rural Crèche Initiative (RCI), aims to provide safe and nurturing day-care centers (Laika Ghar) for children aged 7 months to 3 years in remote tribal areas. These crèches focus on early childhood care, nutrition, and access to health and government entitlements. The initiative is community-driven to ensure last-mile delivery for the most vulnerable children. The major objective of creche initiative are as following:
a) To enable access to crèches by all children between 7 months and 3 years in a selected geography. b) To ensure supplementary feeding, early childhood development, and facilitation of access to government entitlements. c) To identify growth faltering, underweight, and wasted children (7 months to 3 years), refer them to a health facility and follow up.

Eligibility Criteria:
i) Commerce graduate with experience of handling NGO books of accounts.
ii) Sound knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
iii) Hands-on experience of using accounting software such as Tally or QuickBooks.
iv) Knowledge of statutory laws about Income Tax and FCRA.
v) Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
vi) Analytical skills.
vii) Experience of handling audit independently.

Roles and Responsibilities:
i) Comply with the financial policy and regulation of the organization and the Foundation.
ii) Manage all accounting transactions and update the books of accounts and application regularly.
iii) Conduct budget variance analysis and prepare budget forecast.
iv) Prepare and share financial reports with the Foundation on time.
v) Handle monthly and annual closing of books of accounts.
vi) Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement.
vii) Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
viii) Prepare the balance sheet.
ix) Audit financial transactions and documents.
x) Timely filing of annual tax returns.
xi) Conduct regular monitoring of crèche activities.

Additional Requirements:
• Must be open to intensive travel to field area.
• Must own a bike/two-wheeler for travel with valid driving license.
• Preference to local candidates from Chhattisgarh.
• Need to visit field area as per requirement.
