REACH is a non-profit organisation working on Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases, headquartered in Chennai. Established in 1999, REACH is currently implementing multiple projects across the country.
 
REACH is looking to recruit a Data quality assurance officer to provide programme implementation support for its project. The ideal candidate is MBBS /BDS/ Allied health sciences degree /PHD in statistics with public health background with strong data management experience. This job is suitable for candidates who are looking for an opportunity to gain experience in monitoring and evaluation of TB programme, digital health interventions, private sector engagement, project management etc.
 
Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Develop M&E framework of project
  • Development and implementation of data collection tools, maintain database, development of real-time dashboards
  • Tracking project progress, data analysis and reporting on a regular basis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake regular visits to various health facilities and TPT clinics to facilitate field testing, uptake and troubleshooting of digital interventions proposed under project.
  • Coordination with all state, district and field staff of project for smooth implementation of project.
  • Undertake regular data quality assurance visits to private providers and handhold staff on utilisation of reporting formats, registers, project specific M&E tool.
  • Undertake regular M&E visits for validation of data as per project requirement.
  • Support team lead of project as per project need on day to day basis to meet timelines of submission of programme and project report.
  • Conduct capacity building sessions for project staff as per need of programme
  • Ensures accountability by evaluating program performance against goals.
  • Ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of all project activities and its submission as per timelines.
  • Representing REACH at state-level and other meetings as assigned
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by organisation.
Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:
  • The ideal candidate has an MBBS/BDS/Allied health sciences degree with 1-2 years of experience in the field of public health or a PhD in public health/statistics with 1 to 2 year experience of working on M&E.
  • Thorough knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and processes
  • Experience in developing M&E tools, training teams and consolidating datasets
  • Experience in working on TB and /or private sector would be an advantage 
  • Exemplary analytical, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, online reporting tools- KoBo toolbox, and other relevant software
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships and coordinate with teams based at different locations within the state.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy with all sensitive issues and special situations.
  • High ethical standards and transparent working style
  • Ability to read and write fluently in Tamil and English. Knowledge of Hindi in addition is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within state (10 days a month minimum)
