Role: Field Lead

Job Summary
• Provide strategic direction for the implementation and development of the project
• To design and suggest various strategies for the implementation of the Project at different levels (at the field, for advocacy etc.)
• To oversee the overall implementation of the Project at all levels and ensure that the Project objectives are being met.
• To liaison with the Department and various other State-Level stakeholders in order to carry the Project objectives forward.
• To play the role of a catalyst in ensuring that the collaboration between the Project Team and the various stakeholders is both smooth and efficient.

Mentor, Monitor & Supervise :
• To mentor and supervise the Project Team, keeping in mind the requirements of the Project, the challenges inherent in the Project and the overall objectives of the Project.
• Regular monitoring of the progress of Project through regular on-site visits, mentoring of staff, review of field records.
• To ensure that there is an update on the progress of the Project on a regular basis and report the same to the Core team.
• To identify the challenges or roadblocks faced in the implementation of the Project and take measures to resolve the same.
• To constantly look for the areas with the potential for advocacy and design strategies to work towards change in those areas.
• Ensure good governance practices, excellence, integrity and accountability in the team.
• To provide mentoring support to the field teams as and when required.
• To liaison with District and Regional level stakeholders in order to build networks and collaborations to meet Project Objectives.
• To take cognizance of the challenges at the field (that are beyond the purview of the Social Workers) and report the same to the Core team so that combined efforts can be made to resolve the same.
• To identify various areas with potential for advocacy and make recommendations to the Core Team to take the same forward.
• To act as a link between the Core Team and the Social Workers and balance demands from both ends keeping in mind the overall objectives, principles, values as ascribed in the Project.

Design, Develop & Strategise :
1. To develop systems that will track the progress of the Project vis-à-vis the Project Objectives.
2. To monitor the Project on a regular basis vis-à-vis the Objectives, Strategies, Targets and Project personnel and make suggestions wherever it is found necessary.
3. To evaluate the present strategies, the challenges at the field, the effectiveness of the role played by different stakeholders (including Social Workers, Department Personnel, etc.) and make recommendations for change.
4. To ensure the smooth functioning of the Management Information Systems and suggest methods for utilization of the same to enhance fulfillment of Project objectives.
5. To oversee the larger advocacy issues of the Project & suggest strategies to the Core Team to strengthen and enhance the advocacy efforts.

Finance Responsibilities :
• To manage all budgetary inflows and outflows of the Project on a regular basis.
• To ensure that all budgetary allocations are spent and accounted for as per the
finance policies of the Project.
• To keep the Core Team informed of the status of expenditures vis-à-vis the
budgets assigned to various Project components.
• To bring to the notice of the Core Team any issues, challenges etc. faced by the field teams vis-à-vis finances and suggest remedies for the same.
• To ensure financial compliance as per the legal requirements and report the
same regularly to the concerned personnel.

Qualifications & Experience :
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or related fields.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the development sector, particularly in leadership roles
• Experience of working with teams in a supervisory and mentoring capacity.
• Leadership and team building skills.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Strong Kannada Language speaking skills.
