Project Milan: Assessments and placement officer

Kriti Social Initiatives (Kriti) is a not for profit organisation that promotes skills training and livelihoods for women and education of children. We work in the slums in Hyderabad. Kriti has a number of centres where training on skills such as tailoring and beautician is given to women. Through this training, we enable women to learn new skills and become eligible for a job.

We have four training centres for tailoring training courses and four beautician training centres in different slums in Hyderabad. Over 600 women every year receive free vocational training through Kriti and we look forward to helping the women start earning income through the program.

We are looking for a talented woman candidate who has good knowledge of tailoring and beautician training. She should also have basic computer proficiency and be willing to do some field work to help in placement of candidates.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct the midterm and final assessments for the trainees at each centre
• Enter assessments data and give feedback to the trainers
• Conduct monthly inspections at all the centres to track the maintenance of the assets and also ensure that curriculum is being conducted properly
• Conduct monthly training of trainers to ensure that the Kriti curriculum is being followed properly and standard of training is being maintained at all the centres
• Work on placement of candidates by identifying nearby beautician centres and any other placement opportunities
• Motivate and guide students on process of CV preparation, interview preparation and what to expect in their jobs
• Any other activities as required by the project

Qualifications
• Graduate in any field
• Experience of 2-3 years in vocational training for women
• Knowledge of tailoring / beautician courses
• Basic computer skills in excel and word
