CHIP
We are an organisation for underprivileged children and young adults. The organisation was founded in March 1997 by a core group of doctors and educationists, driven by a desire to help create a better life for underprivileged children. We believe in enabling this population by giving them access to education, healthcare, extracurricular activities and vocational training. We are also now present in the environment space in afforestation and ecosystem management. Initially based in Kolkata, CHIP has now spread its wings to Mumbai and Nagpur.

Administrative Co-ordinator
We are seeking a skilled, dynamic and passionate candidate to take up the role as Administrative Coordinator - Kolkata. This will be a diverse and demanding role, with inputs into administration, project management, costs and fundraising. The candidate will have to have the ability to multi-task and manage projects, office operations and staff. Strong leadership skills are essential Candidates must have a drive and passion for development and to help the less advantaged .

Key Responsibilities:
* Project, administrative and people management.
* Liaise with community, school and other agencies to promote CHIP work.
* Interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
Reporting and monitoring of organisational progress to the Kolkata managing committee.

Key Skills and Competencies:
* The person should be able to develop and implement appropriate administrative and other systems for CHIP projects.
* Candidates should have good oral and written communication and writing skills.
* Ability to network and liaise with other organisations
* Strong computer skills
* Ability to lead and listen
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* Fluency in speaking, writing and reading in Bengali and English. Some knowledge of Hindi.
* Strong passion for educational development

Qualifications/experience:
* Minimum graduate, preferably in Social Sciences, Development, or related field with minimum 2 years experience.
* Demonstrates NGO experience
* Proven ability to handle projects independently

Probationary period:
This post is subject to the completion of satisfactory six-month probationary period.
