Pragati Path Foundation (PPF) is a feminist non-profit organization established in 2011 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The Foundation works to promote women's identity, dignity, and rights by supporting their social and economic development. Remuneration, TA, Benefits & Work Environment
• Salary: Rs 16,000–20,000 per month, based on qualifications and relevant experience.

Educational Qualification:
Master of Commerce (M.Com.), Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, Business Administration (Finance), or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Relevant Experience:
Minimum three years of experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, grant management, or related functions, preferably in the non-profit sector.

Skills Required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, Tally Prime, QuickBooks, or other financial management systems.
• Excellent understanding of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of taxation, TDS, GST, Income Tax, FCRA, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience in grant management, donor budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial planning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial data analysis tools.
• Ability to prepare financial statements, utilization certificates, and budget variance reports.
• Strong documentation, record-keeping, and audit coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of NGO financial systems, donor compliance, and government grant management.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate books of accounts, record and reconcile financial transactions, prepare vouchers and ledgers, ensure proper financial documentation, and conduct regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
2. Budgeting and Financial Planning: Assist in preparing organizational and project budgets, monitor budget utilization, support financial forecasting and cash flow planning, and provide financial analysis for informed decision-making.
3. Grant and Donor Financial Management: Monitor project expenditures for donor compliance, prepare donor financial reports and utilization certificates, maintain grant-wise financial records, coordinate fund utilization with program teams, and support budget preparation for funding proposals and projects.
4. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with taxation laws, financial regulations, donor requirements, and organizational policies; prepare statutory filings, coordinate audits, facilitate financial reviews, and implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
5. Financial Controls and Risk Management: Support implementation of internal controls and financial procedures, monitor transactions for transparency and compliance, assist in asset and inventory management, identify financial risks and discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
6. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare periodic financial reports, maintain financial records and supporting documents, provide financial information to management and stakeholders, and support the development of financial presentations and management reports.
7. Team Coordination and Capacity Building: Coordinate with program and support departments on financial matters, provide guidance on budget management and financial compliance, and assist in building staff capacity on financial procedures, controls, and accountability requirements.
8. Other Responsibilities: Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical financial practices, support organizational sustainability and institutional strengthening initiatives, maintain confidentiality of financial information, and perform any other duties assigned by senior management in the interest of Pragati Path Foundation.
