Role Overview
Sesame Workshop India Trust is hiring for the role of MLE Manager. The MLE Manager will support the monitoring, learning, evaluation, and data management functions of a large-scale development programme. The role will be responsible for strengthening monitoring systems, managing programme data, supporting assessments, generating insights, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitoring Systems & MIS :
• Support the development, operationalisation, and maintenance of programme monitoring systems and MIS platforms.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection, validation, and reporting of programme data from field teams.
• Develop and manage data collection tools, trackers, scorecards, and reporting formats.
• Monitor programme progress against agreed targets and flag gaps for corrective action.
• Maintain data quality standards and ensure consistency across reporting systems.
Reporting & Data Analysis :
• Compile, analyse, and present programme data through periodic reports and dashboards.
• Generate insights and recommendations to support programme planning and decision-making.
• Support preparation of internal and external reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Develop data visualisations and summaries for programme teams and management.
Assessments & Evaluation :
• Support the design and implementation of baseline, midline, endline, and other programme assessments.
• Coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting for evaluation activities.
• Support external assessments, audits, reviews, and learning exercises as required.
• Document and disseminate programme learnings, best practices, and evidence.
Capacity Building :
• Train and support field teams on data collection protocols, reporting requirements, and MIS tools.
• Conduct periodic data quality reviews and provide feedback to strengthen reporting systems.
• Support continuous improvement of monitoring and learning processes.
Qualifications & Experience :
Essential :
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Economics, Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
Experience :
• 2–3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, MIS management, research, data analysis, or programme management.
• Experience developing and managing data collection and reporting systems.
• Experience working with field teams and multi-location programmes preferred.
Key Skills & Competencies :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools.
• Experience with digital data collection platforms and MIS systems.
• Ability to interpret data and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within programme locations.
