Summary of Role
 
The MIS Officer- Health will be responsible for managing, maintaining and strengthening the MIS for health projects. The role will ensure timely collection, compilation, validation, analysis and reporting of project data to support effective program management and decision-making. The incumbent will work closely with project teams to ensure data quality, compliance with reporting requirements and efficient use of digital MIS platforms.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate data collection, verification and validation from field teams.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to monitor activities, assess data quality and support field-level implementation.
  • Track project indicators, milestones and outcomes as per the log frame/results framework.
  • Ensure proper documentation, storage and management of all MIS data.
  • Conduct data analysis to generate insights, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the Manager in preparing progress reports, presentations and success stories using project data.
  • Capacity building of field staff on data collection tools, reporting formats, DQA, documentation practices and evidence generation.
  • Provide support during audits, reviews and monitoring visits by donor, senior management or external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health / Social Sciences / Statistics / Development Studies or a related field.
  • Atleast 1-2 years of experience in MIS preferably health project
  • Strong understanding of M&E frameworks, indicators and data quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in advance MS Excel, data analysis and dashboard preparation (PoweBi / Lookers studio/ Tableau).
  • Ability to conduct field visits extensively in the project locations
